A majestically modern castle, the first to be built in the UK in 100 years

Positioned on the site of what was once a ‘folly castle’ suggested by the Prince Regent to Lord and Lady Hertford, the original castle was built around the turn of the 18th century. Having been left largely untouched since 1930, in 2020 it was completely replaced by this grand salute to modern architectural majesty.
