Built in 1928 and once known as Amberwood House, it was home to Dame Margot Fonteyn during her years as prima ballerina of The Royal Ballet, when its rooms hosted Princess Margaret, Yves Saint Laurent, Peter Sellers and Rudolf Nureyev.
